Lately, I have had an experience that has really gotten me thinking about how lucky I am. Last week, my air condition in my car went out. Now, for those who live in Az..we know that this is pretty much a deathly situation. Anyways..it's been hot as HELL (for lack of a more perfect word)!! I have sweated my face off with the windows down each day going to school and work--even worse, I have started to feel really bad for myself. BUT I have been thinking about it and I realize how extremely LUCKY I am to have the mom and dad that I have. This past year, I was driving my VW bug around and the AC went out. My mom, being the trooper that she is, switched me cars and drove through the BLISTERING HOT summer for me. Of course, then the AC in the suburban went out and my dad drove that around only to get into his UN-airconditioned UPS truck all day long (update: the suburban now has AC and my dad lets my mom drive it while he switched to the bug that STILL has no AC...). The magical thing about this? I never once heard them complain. I am SO happy that I made the {choice} in Heaven for them to be my parents. I am one lucky kid and will be forever grateful for all that they have done for me!

Jacobbbb :)
I love this kid! Jake Young is leaving on his mission next week and as excited as I am for him, I am going to miss him times A BILLION! Seriously..Jake is just one of those kids that when you are having a bad day or extremely bored he knows just what to say to make you laugh and feel better! We went and did baptisms for the dead together and I could not only feel the spirit but his spirit too! What a great experience that was! He gave an awesome farewell talk-I never knew that would make me respect him that much more! He knows how to make people feel great about themselves. He loves everyone. He is non judgmental. He is cute. Annnnndddd. I love him.. like a husband (some say they love each other like brothers and sisters but Jake always tries to make me laugh by telling me he loves me like a wife)! I love you Jakey Poo and I know you will be great in all that you do!!!

Blessing in Disguise
Hello again! It has almost been a whole week since I have last posted and the reason for this is the RIDICULOUS amount of homework I have had. I would say that I am pretty good at a lot of things in life--the number one thing I am SUPER AWESOME at is PROCRASTINATING!! Ok, I am not so proud but I'll cut to the chase. In the time frame of a week I had an exam in one class, 2 papers for another, a 20 page paper, another exam (which I failed if you cared to know..), homework for each class, and on top of all this it was the worst weekend for all of this to go down because my parents were out of town. Today was the day that I finally had my last project due-the 20 page paper. I had worked on it last weekend and pumped out about 5 pages of it but then things kept getting in the way until yesterday. I spent 3 hours writing before work. I spent 1 hour writing at work. Then 5 hours writing after my late night class that ended at 10. Why is this a blessing in disguise, you ask? I stayed up writing my paper until around 4:30 AM. I have NEVER EVER stayed up that late to do homework. I usually get to about 12:30 and am out! This usually resorts to me attempting to wake up early which is never early enough and I become a ball of stress in the morning trying to finish all the loose ends. I was so tempted to do this last night but something kept me going. I was exhausted and I know the reason I was able to finish my paper last night was because of the constant prayers I said throughout the day that I would be able to focus and get what I needed to done. Heavenly Father blesses us. If we put in the hard work, He will hold up His end of the deal. Even if that does mean that I am running off of 2 hours of sleep today! Moral of today's story: every choice has its consequence! ;)
Enjoy your day while I figure out where I am going to fit a nap into my schedule!!

Not so Smooth Criminals..
I am on a roll with posting! I am a mother to a criminal. Yes, I know what you're thinking..I have no children BUT with my parents in Utah for my cousin's wedding...I claim my brother and sister as my kids. Last night Madison went on a group date where they thought it would be soooo fun to buy paint, put it in squirt guns, and shoot each other (of course)! I won't lie to you, it sounded entertaining to me too...Word of advice to children who want to do this:
1. Make sure the paint can wash off with water
2. Do NOT squirt public sidewalks or neighborhood playgrounds
3. If you do choose to take part in #2..Do NOT get caught!
This is where the little kiddos went wrong. A security guy in the neighborhood stopped the kids. Got the cops involved. And LUCKILY the cop was awesome and charged them with criminal damage but he said if they cleaned it all up the HOA would drop the charge. Moral of the story: If you get caught doing this..you'll be cleaning for at least 4 hours and trying to borrow everyone's hoses in the neighborhood. Awesome.
Happy Saturday to one and all!

I wish school really was for fools!
At this very point in time I am wanting to injure the person who invented higher education. Why would you want to inflict so much pain upon millions of people all over the world?! This upcoming week is going to be so busy. Let's just say I have a 5 page lab report due that my instructor basically told everyone that we would fail. I have a chemistry exam on Monday..good thing I still have NO idea what is going on in class. ANDDDD..I have a 20 page paper due on Thursday. Plus 2 more papers on top of that. This.is.the.LIFE. On a lighter note, I got an 85% on a test that my professor said most of her students fail. So..for now, I'll hate college. But if you ask me next week I'm sure being a student will be wonderful once again! Well...if you get a little time, pray for me! :)
Post #2. Check. Man, I'm on a roll!

Officially a blogger...
Ok...I know what you are thinking... I am SOOO lame! I promised myself I wouldn't get one of these til I was married so I could be a cute blogging housewife BUT...i love blogs! :) I think blogs are so funny and cute. I am obsessed with looking at pictures on other peoples' blogs and decided I might as well come out out of the closet as a "blog stalker" and actually get my own blog so I can legitamitely stalk! Also, I've decided this is probably the best way of keeping a journal-being at school all the time never allows me to carry my journal around to write in it so I figure I'll give this a shot! (we will see how long this lasts!) Well, check that off the list. First blog post. Done.
peace.love.happiness.
