HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY MOMMA!!!!!
seriously she is the best mom in the world. i know that i have already posted about her before, but the MORE about mom the BETTER. for reals. i know i am a day late in posting this, but lucky for me, my mom celebrates her birthday for a WHOLE week. haha. we take birthdays around here seriously! since our mom is SO great we wanted to get her some special gifts! momma is now a proud owner of a kindle AND 6 baby chicks!!!!

our family had so much fun being sneaky and hiding live animals from her. we coordinated with one of my mom's really good friends whose 13 year old son is a chicken professional who told us where we needed to go to buy chicks & what we needed to do to take care of them. they were awesome for helping us and being secret spies! so, without further ado here's the line up:
{please ignore the annoying sideways format of the last 3 pictures...}

Polly
Buttercup
Jacque
Pierre
Pedro
Petey
yes, they are girls. yes we pretty much named them all boy names. mom was SO surprised. between me going during school to buy the chicks, dropping them off at my aunt's house for some babysitting, picking them up after school, coming home to find mom is home so i can't get them out of the car for 10 min, frantically hiding them in the garage as mom left the house, and then keeping her out of the garage so she wouldn't see a random lamp on and hear peeping chickies, the mission was accomplished.

rebel loves the chickies too. he kept sticking his head right in the box to be up close & personal. here he is practicing some chick balancing. such a talented dog we have!
usually mom doesn't go in the garage so we weren't too worried, but since sister had to dress up the next day for school mom thought she needed to go out into the garage to find some clothes. luckily, sister used her ninja skills to keep mom from going out there and mom didn't even notice what was going on.

and if that wasn't enough, dad and i had to go pick up my car from getting worked on and when we got home mom said, "look it my little chick! it's laying eggs!!" we had a heart attack only to realize this is what she was talking about:

for easter, she put a bunch of egg candies in a dish and thought she would borrow one of brother's peeps so it looked like a chicken laying eggs. subliminal messages, right? freaky.

mom and i had to wake up super early cause sister is trying out to be on mesa high's survivor (i did it in high school-best experience ever), so we got to take the project of getting her ready and out the door. yay momma for getting to start her day super sonic early!

we gave her the chicks right before sister left so we could all be a part of it. PLUS, i couldn't hold the secret in anymore! seriously, i tell my mom EVERYTHING. i almost ratted myself out like 79 times. it was such a relief to give them to her at 6:15 am. :) we love our babies! (please excuse the ogor)

mom was such a lucky girl, dad took the day off to hang out. look how cute they are in their matching outfits and getting pedicures. presh, right? love them.

we had such a good day!! love our mom, love our doggie, love our chickies, love our family!!

xoxo, morgs

  2. OKay, so I'm pretty sure you're my favorite "blogger" ever. I started one and I am a slacker. But anyway, a few things:
    1) you are hilarious.
    2) your idea for chicks was awesome and the whole lindalee making her own little chick and eggs was even more awesome. i laughed out loud a little.
    3) i ended up reading other posts and i am both highly entertained and proud to call you a soul sister.
    4) i don't care what you say, or how cheesy it is, we are soul sisters.
    5) i am pretty sure i can take credit for taking that picture up there at the top..right? texas roadhouse? eh? :)
    6) I LOVE YOU.
